Adlyn Adam Teoh

Adlyn Adam Teoh is an advocate for gender equality and citizenship rights in Malaysia. Her activism began when her son was born stateless due to discriminatory nationality laws that denied Malaysian mothers the right to confer citizenship on their overseas-born children. As one of the plaintiffs in a landmark legal challenge, Adlyn helped catalyze a nationwide movement that led to a historic constitutional amendment, playing a key role in highlighting mothers’ voices in the campaign, personalizing a cause that had long remained faceless. Through policy reform and public engagement, she pushes for inclusive pathways and dignity for all Malaysian families.
