Anjuman Ara Begum is a human rights activist, gender rights activist, and freelance journalist from Assam, India. 

 

Ms Anjuman is the co-founder of the Rights to Nationality and Citizenship Network (RNCN). While being a member of the Calcutta Research Group, with a PhD in Law from Gauhati University, she specialises in advocacy, legal education, journalism, and public policy. She has extensively researched and documented issues of Citizenship, human rights and gender-based violence in armed conflict situations in Northeast India.
