The Statelessness and Dignified Citizenship Coalition – Asia Pacific (SDCC-AP) is a regional civil society network working to end statelessness and promote equal citizenship rights across Asia Pacific. We are a coalition of organizations, activists, and people with lived experiences of statelessness. Together, we build solidarity, strengthen advocacy, and create lasting change for dignified citizenship.

As a member of SDCC-AP, you will:

Who Can Join?
Institutional Member
We welcome organization and networks working on statelessness and/or nationality rights, including:
- Civil society organizations (registered or unregistered)
- Research and academic institutions
- Informal networks and collectives
- Media organizations
(Governments, UN agencies, and inter-governmental bodies are not eligible.)
Individual Members
We welcome individuals actively engaged in this work, including:
- Affected persons (stateless, formerly stateless, or impacted by nationality laws)
- Activists and advocates
- Academics and researchers
- Journalists
- Youth leaders
(Individuals employed by UN agencies, governments, or inter-governmental bodies are not eligible, except for short-term contracts of less than 3 months.

How to Apply?
Membership is open on a rolling basis. In this first phase (until December 2025), priority will be given to:
Your application will be reviewed by the Secretariat and Steering Committe to ensure alignment with SDCC-AP’s mission and principles.
Steps to Apply
- Complete the online form.
- Submit supporting documents if requested.
- Await confirmation from the Secretariat.
Working Groups You Can Join
Members have the opportunity to actively contribute by joining our thematic working groups:
- Advocacy Working Group – advancing policy reforms and human rights advocacy.
- Capacity Building Working Group – designing trainings, workshops, and fellowships.
- Peer-Learning Working Group – facilitating solidarity and knowledge exchange.
- Communications Working Group – strengthening outreach and visibility.
Transparency and Integrity
We are committed to fairness and accountability. All members complete a Conflict of Interest Disclosure upon joining to ensure inclusive and transparent decision-making.
