Objectives of the Quarterly Webinars
  • Facilitate peer learning, knowledge sharing, and skills development.
  • Strengthen connections and solidarity among members across the region.
  • Create opportunities for collaboration, joint advocacy, and strategic planning.
  • Support the identification of skill gaps and capacity needs within the coalition.
  • Maintain regular engagement with all members of SDCC-AP.
Skills Mapping Process

A dedicated Skills Mapping Consultant will be recruited to design and conduct a participatory skills mapping process that reflects the experiences and aspirations of both Founding Members and new members of SDCC-AP. The Consultant will:

  • Assess members’ existing expertise, interests, and capacity-building needs.
  • Identify priority areas aligned with SDCC-AP’s strategic goals.
  • Develop a framework for ongoing webinar programming.
  • Propose a clear and practical evaluation mechanism for these sessions.

This process will ensure that quarterly webinars are tailored, meaningful, and effectively contribute to strengthening the collective capabilities of the coalition.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Skills Mapping Consultant: Leads the design, facilitation, and analysis of the skills mapping process; prepares the final report and recommendations; works with the Activities Sub-group and Secretariat to guide the development of webinar topics and structure.
  • Activities Sub-group & Secretariat: Oversee implementation of the first webinar and support the Consultant throughout the mapping process.
  • Steering Committee and IPAG: Advise and approve final webinar topics and structure, based on recommendations from the Consultant.
  • Founding and New Members: Participate in the skills mapping exercise and webinars.

The skills mapping will focus on identifying capacities and needs related to the following areas:

  • Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS), digital ID
  • Human rights, refugees, and statelessness
  • Health and well-being
  • Leadership and conflict resolution
  • Monitoring & evaluation
  • Research and policy engagement
  • Social media, website, and digital strategy
  • Digital literacy and public speaking
  • Advocacy and strategic planning
  • Grant writing, donor engagement, and crowdfunding
  • Financial and risk management
  • Youth empowerment
