Nagarkot, Nepal | September 30 – October 3, 2024
The Statelessness and Dignified Citizenship Coalition – Asia Pacific (SDCC-AP) Steering Committee gathered at Country Villa, Nagarkot, Nepal, for a four-day strategic planning meeting organized by Nationality for All (NFA).
The meeting was a milestone moment for the Coalition, bringing together Steering Committee members to:
- Develop a three-year Strategic Plan for SDCC-AP.
- Craft a Theory of Change to guide our advocacy and programmatic efforts.
- Map out a timeline of key activities to strengthen the Coalition’s impact in the Asia Pacific region.
Alongside strategic planning, the discussions also focused on expanding membership, building solidarity across movements, and ensuring the meaningful participation of impacted persons in decision-making processes.
The meeting was a collaborative and productive step forward, reinforcing SDCC-AP’s shared mission to address statelessness and advance the right to nationality for all across the region.
Adoption of the Constitution of SDCC-AP
After the meeting of the Founding Members on August 7, 2024, it was decided that the draft constitution of the coalition that was prepared by the Steering Committee would be shared with all the Founding Members for endorsement via email. The Founding Members were given till August 30, 2024 to endorse the draft constitution. With more than 50% of the Founding Members endorsing the constitution, the Constitution was formally adopted on September 4, 2025.
